Expectant Families

I’m preparing for birth and want support rooted in culture, care, and connection.

Growing Families & Caregivers

I’m navigating early parenthood and want culturally rooted guidance and healing.

Community & Collaborators

I’m a caregiver, educator, or organization seeking aligned, culturally rooted collaboration.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Selena Maldonado.

I am a doula, educator, and holistic practitioner supporting children and families through birth and early development by bridging culturally rooted education, energy healing practices, and collaborative care. My work is grounded in the belief that families deserve continuity, dignity, and support, especially within systems that too often ask them to carry more than they should alone.

“During the session, I immediately felt lighter, more awake, and aligned with myself. The clarity and sense of direction I gained were profound, and I’m still feeling the positive effects weeks later…” — R.P. Reiki Client (2024)

  • We create a relational, culturally rooted space for families moving through birth and early parenthood, offering care that feels continuous rather than fragmented. Our work weaves together ancestral wisdom, contemporary approaches to development, and embodied practices to support both children and caregivers from the very beginning. We believe parenting is not meant to happen in isolation, but as a shared, lived practice rooted in trust — in the body, in cultural knowledge, and in community. At Solful Truths, we support families in restoring that trust, building connection, and creating continuity in care so that both parent and child can begin from a place of wholeness.

  • In a time when families often move through fragmented systems during pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, we offer grounded, culturally rooted support that centers choice, dignity, and connection. Through intentional birth preparation, emotional and spiritual care, and collaborative guidance, we walk alongside families as they clarify their values and prepare for the transition into parenthood, continuing to support them as that journey unfolds. Our approach weaves ancestral wisdom, trauma-informed education, and energy-aware practices to honor each family’s lived experience while creating space for reflection, informed decision-making, and embodied preparation. As Solful Truths continues to grow, this work expands to meet families beyond birth, deepening into early development, community-based learning, and shared care practices that support both caregivers and children over time.

  • We work with:
    • First-time parents in transition into navigating pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood
    • Mothers and caregivers seeking more connected, culturally rooted support
    • NYC families raising young children who want guidance grounded in relationship and development
    • Generational cycle breakers building new ways of parenting
